Biography
I began in photography back in my teens with a used Mamiya 35 mm
camera. In my twenties I primarily used a larger format Mamiya 645 camera
shooting black and white and doing my own developing and printing. For a decade
and a half, other than vacation snapshots, I got away from photography
completely. I began fooling about with an inexpensive point and shoot camera in
2004 and moved on to the Canon 20D, which I'm still using today, back in Feb.
2005. I enjoy shooting nature and orchids in particular as well as experimenting
with the camera. Most of my experimenting so far has been done in-camera,
partially due to my present ineptitude with CS2 and partially as a throw back to
my days working with film. I have benefited greatly from looking through
everyones images on this site. I looked forward to being able to offer hopefully
useful opinions and in turn I hope to learn from the comments and critiques of
others. Thanks for dropping by.
